Roy-Boss. Most people are familiar with the regular red rooibos, which is fermented. Green rooibos is just the raw version of our favorite African Honeybush. It is surprisingly delicious and reminiscent of green tea (camellia sinensis.) Free of caffeine, the flavor is fresh and slightly tangy with a lot of sweetness. It is so delicious on its own that there is no temptation to add sweetener. I actually prefer it to the red, fermented kind. The only drawback is its rarity, which is why this one tin cost me 11 bucks. (Ouch!) No offense to the People’s Republic of Tea, but this is their only tea I like so far. I’ve tried several other flavors at their super-premium price, and haven’t been fond of any till I met Mr. Raw Green Bush.
This tea satisfies my desire for something-like-green-tea when its late at night.
